Tom.Jlf. ( 93 )Planches LXX&LXXI. Ces deux Tableaux, dont le champ eft peint en noir, ontété découverts à Civita en 1749. Le premier repréfente unpetit Faune nud, dont tout le corps , ainfi que le vifage, eftde couleur rouffe ou rouge. Il a fur la tête , en forme detoque , une draperie ou efpèce de pan jaune. Un autre pande draperie verte retombe , paffé fur fon bras : il porte untyrfe fur fon épaule ; il tient lautre bras étendu, & eft enaftion de danfer fur une corde rouge & blanche, forte depique ou de tyrfe, ornée à fes deux extrémités & au milieude pommes de pin de diverfes groffeurs : elle eft entrelacéeauffi de feftons verds , qui forment trois guirlandes & deuxnÅuds : de petites chaînettes vertes auflî, y fufpendent desvafes dargent : peut-être font-ce des cordes attachées perpen-diculairement & garnies de leur poids, qui fervoient auxdanfeuis pour monter fur la corde tendue horifontalement,& autour de laqaelle ils tournoient com
