Historique :

Dès 1886, Lambeaux travaille sur le projet d’une œuvre monumentale ayant pour sujet les passions des hommes. Le carton grandeur nature du futur relief, au fusain sur toile, est présenté au Salon triennal de Gand en 1889.

Geschiedenis :

Lambeaux werkte vanaf 1886 aan dit monumentale werk met als onderwerp de menselijke driften. Het ontwerp een houtskooltekening op doek op ware grootte van het reliëf, werd in 1889 voorgesteld op de driejaarlijkse Salon van Gent.
