Description
Français : Les Colonies Italiennes. Revue maritime et coloniale. 127. 1895, p. 247. Harkico (Archico ou Dokno pour les Italiens). — Gros village à l2 kilomètres au sud de Massaouah : sa population est de 6 à 7,000 Mmes. Un appontement de 500 mètres de long y a été construit pour l'embarquement des pierres provenant de carrières situées à 4 kilo-mètres dans l'intérieur. Un Decauville circule des carrières à la mer; un autre relie Harkico à Massaouah. Harkico se reconnaît du large par le minaret de sa mosquée et les palmiers de ses jardins.
