Description In July 2014, Indonesia FETP residents worked with the Boyolali District Health Department, the Center For Environmental Health Engineering and Disease Control of Yogyakarta Province to screen residents of Ngemplak in Boyolali, Indonesia for leptospirosis. Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection that can lead to kidney damage, meningitis, liver failure, respiratory distress, and even death. Submitted by Evi Susanti Sinaga, Indonesia.
