Deutsch: Vorderseite: Kopf des Apollon mit Lorbeerkranz nach l. Das Haar, das in leichten Wellen am Kopf anliegt, ist im Nacken eingerollt, vor und hinter dem Ohr haben sich einige Locken gelöst.

Rückseite: Λ-ΕΟΝ-ΤΙΝΟ-Ν [Λ auf dem Kopf stehend]. Löwenkopf mit Mähnenansatz nach l. Aus dem weit geöffneten Maul hängt die Zunge heraus. Darum Legende und vier Gerstenkörner sind gleichmäßig im Feld verteilt.

Kommentar: Apollon war die Hauptgottheit Leontinois, der Löwe ein Tier des Apollon und außerdem das 'sprechende Wappen' der Stadt. Die Smaithos-Ebene, die gemeinsam von Katane und Leontinoi bewirtschaftet wurde, gilt als fruchtbarster Teil Ostsiziliens, woraufhin wohl die Getreidkörner verweisen.
