Beatrice d'Este era stata "divinamente" ritratta da Leonardo, come scrive il Vasari, sull'affresco della Crocifissione di Donato Montorfano, tuttavia la tecnica a secco dell'artista si deteriorò in maniera tale da essere oggi a stento distinguibile. |
