Among the works ascribed to him are : The Infant Jesus blessingthe little S. John, a terra-cotta, formerly the property of CardinalFederigo Borromeo ; ^ and a S. Jerome, in high relief, formerly in theHugford collection at Florence.^ According to Rio,^ Leonardo even worked in ivory ! M. Thiers, remarks this uncritical writer, owns a little ivory figure of exquisiteworkmanship, which can hardly be attributed to any one butLeonardo. It is enough to reproduce such an assertion to show itsinanity ! Needless t
