Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lenten Pool, Denbigh A pool did exist on the site and it was once stocked with fish to be eaten by the garrison in the castle during Lent - hence the name. The pool was fed by a stream which ran down Henllan Street. However, the area was frequently flooded, so the pool was filled in in the late 1800's. An old preaching cross is on the roundabout in the middle of the crossroads.
