Summary
[edit]DescriptionLen Lye Wind Wand.jpg |
New Plymouth's "Wind Wand", a kinetic sculpture by New Zealand sculptor, artist, writer and film-maker Len Lye. The 48 metre tall pole is made of fibreglass, steel and carbon fibre. In complete calm the work stands upright, but sways mesmerisingly in the most gentle breeze. By night, the inner sphere emits a soft, red glow. |
