Description |
A copy (one of several?) of Lely's portrait of Queen Mary II of England in the British Royal Collection. In the Royal Collection copy, and in the one in the National Portrait Gallery (London), she wears an orange dress, but in this one, the dress is blue. In another copy, the dress is grey or lilac. The present copy could be from the studio of Lely, or it could be autograph, or a combination of both. |
