Summary
[edit]DescriptionLeith & the docks (42178859472).jpg |
One a very busy port, it's now much less so. Leith is/was the port for the city of Edinburgh, Scotland and has a long history. The "Leithers" are proud of their town, which was administratively separate from Edinburgh until 1920. Just to the left of centre, in front of a tall building is the Royal Yacht, Britannia, which was de-commissioned in 1997. She is open to visitors, allowing people to see what it was like when the Queen and Royal Family used her. Over 300,000 tourists visit the yacht each year |
