English: Elevation. Facade of the street side of the new building (semi-detached house). Accompanying text (translated): "The commercial building Carpenter, Leipziger Strasse 31/32 (Fig. 142 and 143), was built in 1894 by architect F. Schwenke. The older transept on the property, which contains the wine tavern Zur Stadt Athen on the ground floor, originates from a building erected in 1881/82 by A. Orth, but has recently been partially altered."
Deutsch: Aufriss. Fassade der Straßenseite des Neubaus (Doppelhaus). Begleittext: "Das Geschäftshaus Carpenter, Leipziger Strasse 31/32 (Abb. 142 u. 143), ist im Jahre 1894 von Architekt F. Schwenke erbaut worden. Das ältere Quergebäude des Grundstücks, welches im Erdgeschoss die Weinstuben Zur Stadt Athen enthält, entstammt einem in den Jahren 1881/82 durch A. Orth errichteten Bau, ist jedoch neuerdings theilweise verändert worden." |
