English: With the rise of Newtonianism in the Netherlands the need for demonstrations, and therefore the need of equipment, rose in order to explain Newtonianism to the public. These Physics cabinets were used for and this one has been preserved by Museum Boerhaave in Leiden. It is also one of the earliest objects obtained by the museum |
