Description
English: Water tower in Lehrte, Germany, nearly 45 meters high, built 1912 by Robert Grastorf, construction company in Hanover.

Deutsch: Lehrte, Germaniastraße, Wasserturm: Der Wasserturm ist das von Lehrter Bürgern gewählte Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Er wurde 1912 von der Baufirma Robert Grastorf GmbH aus Hannover errichtet, misst vom Boden bis zur Spitze des Daches (ohne Wetterfahne) 44,57 Meter und fasst 250 Kubikmeter Wasser. Im Frühjahr 2003 ging der Turm außer Betrieb. In einem Gemeinschaftsprojekt der Stadtwerke mit dem Arbeitskreis Stadtgeschichte des Stadtmarketingvereins hat der Lehrter Wasserturm eine Außenbeleuchtung erhalten (siehe Information von Stadtmarketing Lehrte).
