Educational trail . 7th station. Information about Budapest natural values. Details: 3000 hectares of Natura 2000 area in Budapest is covered by the Danube-Ipoly National Park Directorate. One of Budapest's best-known wetlands is located in the Merzse Swamp Nature Reserve. It was not included among the protected areas in the South Soroksár area between main roads and motorways, where several highly protected animal and plant species live. The roller (Coracias garrulus) is one of the country's highly protected bird species and reappeared in Budapest in 2020 as a breeding species. The protected area of Bp. total: about 4000 hectares, another 750 hectares would be worthy of protection - Hajógyári Island or Óbuda Island, Óbudaisziget neighbourhood, 3rd district of Budapest.

Tanösvény 7. állomás Budapest természeti értékei. 3000 hektár Natura2000 budapesti terület a Duna–Ipoly Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság. Budapest egyik legismertebb láprétje Merzse-mocsár Természetvédelmi Területen található. Nem került be a védett területek közé a főutak és autópályák közötti dél-soroksári területen ahol több fokozottan védett állat és növényfaj is él. A magyar tarsza (Isophya costata) röpképtelen szöcskefaj az egész világon csak Magyarországon fordul elő ezen belől is a legmagasabb számban Budapesten. A szalakóta (Coracias garrulus) az ország egyik fokozottan védett madárfaja 2020-ban, mint költőfaj ismét megjelent Budapesten. Bp.össz. védett területe kb. 4000 hektár további 750 hektár lenne érdemes a védelemre az össz. 4750 ha a város területének 9%-a lenne, ami kisebb mint egyes védett fajokban szegényebb nyugat európai városok értéke - Budapest, III. kerület, Óbudaisziget városrész, Újpesti sétány? keleti part
