Robert Garcia, U.S. Army Reserve, and a Chicago police officer, during the Memorial Day parade in Chicago, May 25, 2013. Former U.S. Secretary of Defense and CIA Director Leon Panetta, Illinois Gov. Patrick Quinn and Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel were in attendance at the wreath laying ceremony along with senior leaders from each military service branch. The Chicago Memorial Day parade, which is considered one of the largest in the nation, was held immediately after the ceremony with Panetta as the Grand Marshall.
