Description
English: The monument was made in Spain by the Spanish and shipped to the Philippines. Before the Spanish could erect it the Americans took control of the Philippines. The Americans found it in storage and did the right thing by erecting it. It is a beautiful monument. This photograph had to be taken soon after it was erected. Personally I find it sad and shameful that it today is not being protected from vandalism. Much of the reachable bronze has been stolen in recent years. It is only a mater of time that more damage will happen in its unprotected vulnerable state.
