English: Copper alloy
Cauldron leg (identified by finder). A solid triangular section casting, representing the leg of a beast with five pads on its paw; a moulded collar divides foot from leg, which is markedly curved. Some more finely finished examples may alternatively come from tripod ewers. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1400.
Height: 79.32mm, Width (at paw): 35.6mm, Thickness (at paw): 22.3mm, Weight: 198.76gms.
