| Description |
English: Lee Moor Tramway Seen from a road bridge over the tramway, the disused tramway runs in a cutting at this point. The tramway was built to move clay from Lee Moor to Marsh Mills in Plymouth on clay wagons originally pulled by horses then by three small steam engines. Later the track was lifted and a pipeline put in place underground to move the clay as slurry. It is for this reason that the trackway is kept clear of undergrowth. |
