Summary
[edit]DescriptionLedston Luck Colliery - geograph.org.uk - 661279.jpg |
English: Ledston Luck Colliery The winding houses still stand but the head-gears have gone. The "Arts and Crafts" engine houses held some early electric winding plant with power supplied by the Yorkshire Electric Power Company.
There is more infoprmation in Thornes, R; Images of Industry Coal, published by RCHME in 1994. Well worth a punt. There's also a RCAHMW book on Welsh colliery engineering & architecture. |
