English: American advertisement for the German drama film Ledige Mütter (1928) under its English title Unwed Mothers, on page 14 of the August 15, 1928 Variety. Because of the subject matter of the film, an independent American film distributor that had previously distributed a sexual hygiene film planned to distribute the film using the "road show" method, where a theater contracted to show the film and the film distributor handled the advertising and promotion of the film. |
