Some years ago, there was exhibited in the ZoologicalGardens of the Regents Park an Ant-eater from SouthAmerica, the first which we had seen there alive. It did notlive long, and I dissected it. I show here proofs of the platesillustrative of its anatomy ;* at least, of the more character-istic parts.
