Summary
[edit]DescriptionLeafield Technical Centre - geograph.org.uk - 201337.jpg |
English: Leafield Technical Centre. This collection of low buildings is dwarfed by high radio masts, but is an important motorsport industrial centre. It has formerly been the base for the Arrows and then the Super Aguri Formula 1 teams.
Other businesses on the site include Cutting Edge Solutions, a computing-aided engineering firm: http://www.cuttingedge.co.uk/. The masts recall the site's earlier use from 1912 as a government radio station, then transferred to BT: see http://www.leafieldvillage.co.uk/bt_radio_station.htm. |
