Title |
Lead weight |
||
Description |
English: A cast lead object, possibly a weight, in the form of a disc. In the approximate centre is a small, rectangular slot, measuring 3.8 x 12.2mm. Above this slot are three deep incisions, possibly forming a capital H or I. This face is slightly concave, while the other is flat. The edges of the disc are rounded with some dents and nicks. The surface is light grey and scratched. It is not possible to date this object accurately; there are only two similar objects recorded on the PAS database: NCL-506490 and SUSS-7C5BB4, the latter of which is the closest in appearance.
Diameter 32.8mm, thickness 7.3mm, weight 52.28g. |
