Description
English: A Roman lead sling shot, probably dating from the 1st century AD. It is a Greep (1987) Type 1 style sling shot after the examples found at Windridge Farm, St Albans. 

The artefact is biconical, tapering to a sharp point at one end and a rounded point at the other. The sling shot measure 38.70mm in length, 16.65mm in diameter and weighs 58.9g.

There are several similar objects recorded on this database at, for example, BH-27A5B4, LANCUM-44D7EC and LANCUM-1E0B3E.
