Title
Lead seal matrix: Crayfish
Description
English: Described from impression and owner's information. A cast lead vesica-shaped (pointed oval) matrix with flat back and cast suspension loop. Matrix in good condition, although impression is fairly soft. Device: impression is not deep enough to be clear, but the device appears to be a crustacean, possibly a crayfish or the like, head uppermost. The device is separated from the legend by a line, with a second line marking the outer edge of the matrix. Measurements: approximately 21 mm x 36 mm.
