Description
English: A complete lead alloy post medieval token, dating from 1550-1800. The token is biface, on one side is a mill wheel design, and the other the initials H I or I H. The token measures 22.7mm in diameter, 2.6mm in thickness and 6.02g in weight. It is an orangey grey colour.

Tokens were easy to make and distributed widely throughout a large period of time; therefore, they are difficult to date precisely. They are thought to have been circulated throughout both the Medieval and Post Medieval periods and those with letters or numbers are given a general date of c. AD 1550-1800.
