Description

Ce temple connu, dès le 18ème siècle, sous le nom de "temple de Cérès" était en réalité dédié à la déesse Athéna comme l'ont montré les fouilles archéologiques.

Il comporte 6 colonnes transversales pour 13 latérales. Le temple mesure 33m sur 15m

Le temple est daté de 500 avant J.C. Il a été transformé en église chrétienne au Moyen-Age. Les triglyphes et les métopes retrouvés lors des fouilles sont conservés au musée.
