Vue partielle de la cour intérieure Le musée régional des arts et traditions populaires est installé dans le "Dar Jellouli", une maison du 17ème siècle qui a appartenu à la famille Jellouli pendant plus de deux siècles. De nombreux Caïds et Khalifas ont fait partie de cette famille d'origine andalouse. Les pièces sont organisées autour d'une cour intérieure. Le décor architectural est constitué par des encadrements de portes et de fenêtres en pierre rouge de Gabès et par des revêtements en carreaux de céramique de type Kallaline, inspirés par l'art andalou ou ottoman. La maison comprend des plafonds en bois peint et des séparations d'alcôves en bois découpé et sculpté de périodes différentes.
