Description

La fontana delle Tartarughe

Située en face du palais Mattei, dans l'ancien ghetto de Rome, cette fontaine a été dessinée par Giacomo della Porta et exécutée entre 1581 et 1584.

Les éphèbes sur les dauphins qui touchent les tortues ont été sculptés par Taddeo Landini. Les tortues ayant été volées et retrouvées plusieurs fois, elles sont remplacées par des copies.
