First photograph: Mining, open to the deck, are ready for the explosive charges and the firing mechanism. Second photo: The establishment of explosives requires great care. It is carried on board ships by special trained men. Third photo: The terrible engines are ready. They are sealed and bolted. Fourth photo: The mines are launched one after another to the sea or they float waiting to be disposed of at the required depth.
