Description
English: Title: Le due Susanne

Abstract: Italian political cartoon shows, on the left, a woman labeled "Austra" sitting on a park bench between two men, on her left is Aleksandr Gorchakov labeled "Russo" and on her right is a man labeled "Inglese"; she is flirting with both men while surreptitiously holding hands with Otto von Bismarck who is standing behind the bench holding a newspaper labeled "Il Congress". Across the plaza, on the right, is a young woman labeled "Bulgaria" sitting alone on a bench; sitting on the opposite side of the bench are two men labeled "Serbia" and "Greco" who are leering at her. Two men representing Italy and France labeled "Frances" are hiding in the bushes behind a large ornamental planter, observing the proceedings. A large turtle, labeled "Quistione Della Pace" with an olive branch in its mouth, is making its way across the plaza toward the bench on the left.
