Au centre, le bassin de Saint-Marc qui sépare Venise de l'île du Lido (au fond) au niveau de l'église San Nicolo. "Après les cérémonies du Mariage de Venise avec la mer, le doge se rend à San Nicolo pour écouter la messe avant de retourner à Venise. Il s'apprête à remonter à bord du Bucentaure après être passé sous un dais tendu pour l'occasion. " extrait du cartel
