Description
Français : Le château est mentionné dès 888, les seigneurs d’alors Castel-Achard,Ce-e forteresse installée sur un léger promontoire rocheux au-dessus de la Clouère, est plus tard acquise par la puissante famille des Lusignan. A la Révolution, il est vendu par lots et devient une carrière de pierres à destination de la popultion. Le châtelet, acquis par la suite par la Société des Antiquaires de l'Ouest, est classé depuis 1912 parmi les Monuments Historiques.
