Dans la XIIème année du règne de L'EMPEREUR NAPOLÉON III. Sous la bienfaisante administration de Monsieur Edouard FONTENILLIAT, Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur, Maire du Vast. Cette Eglise a été restaurée et agrandie. Elle a été consacrée le xxvi Juillet mdccclxiv par Monseigneur BRAVARD Evéque de Coutances et d'Avranches. Etant: Curé de la paroisse Monsieur Edouard Alexandre ANGER. Architecte Monsieur DQUE GEUFROY. Entrepreneur Monsieur Ase AMIOT.

Translation: In the twelfth year of the reign of emperor Napoleon III. Under the beneficient administration of Monsieur Edouard Fontenilliat, knight of the Legion of Honour, mayor of Le Vast. This church has been restored and enlarged. It was consecrated on 26 July 1864 by Monsignor Bravard, bishop of Coutances and Avranches. Curate of the parish: Monsieur Edouard Alexandre Anger. Architect: Monsieur Dominique Geufroy. Builder: Monsieur Alphonse Amiot.
