Lion de cuivre, gardien du temple de Bhairabnath à Bhaktapur (Népal)

Bhairava (भैरव) ou Bhairab (au Népal) est le nom du dieu hindou Shiva sous sa forme terrifiante. C'est la contrepartie masculine de Kâlî dont le temple de Nyatapola qui lui est consacré est situé en face.

Le temple d'origine a été élevé au XVIIème siècle, il a été surélevé en 1717 et reconstruit après le tremblement de terre de 1934.
