Le débarcadère naturel d'un village d'artisans au nord de Pak Ou sur la rive droite. Le Mékong est le quatrième fleuve de l’Asie par le débit....Né dans le Tibet oriental (sur les hauteurs de l’Himalaya), le Mékong arrose successivement la Chine (la province du Yunnan), borde le Laos à la frontière du Myanmar puis de la Thaïlande avant de couler au Laos (photo au nord de Luang Phrabang) et de revenir à sa frontière, puis traverse le Cambodge où naissent les premiers bras de son delta, qui se prolonge dans le sud du Viêt Nam.
