Description
Français : Le Christ de pitié. Accompagnant la vision de saint Grégoire, le Christ nu, coiffé de la couronne d'épines et les mains liées, émerge à mi-corps d'un sarcophage. Sur la croix sont suspendus les instruments de la Passion : verges et fouets. Miniature extraite du Livre d'heures de la Famille Des Fours. Notes : C'est la dernière petite peinture, malheureusement maculée, placée dans le manuscrit, en tête des Sept prières de saint Grégoire. Les représentations du Christ de la Passion sont nombreuses : le Christ de Pitié, le Christ souffrant, l'Homme de douleur, le Christ aux outrages, le Christ aux cinq plaies ou "Ecce Homo", qui font partie de ces images de dévotion.
