In loving memory of John Oscar LAYBOURNE, 2nd Lieutenant 1/7th Cheshire Regiment, killed at the battle of Gaza 26th March 1917 aged 26. A noble life freely sacrificed for the future welfare of humanity. Given by his mother and father (CWGC He was the son John Haney and Ada Sophia of, 22 Groves, Chester. Native of Liverpool and is buried in Gaza War Cemetery, Israel Also in memory of Ada Sophia LAYBOURNE, mother of above died 15th May 1935. Mayoress of this city 1924-5 She died 15th May 1935 and was residing with her husband, Retired Chief Constable At 22. The Groves, Chester John Henry LAYBOURNE, 28th February 1866 - 11th January 1937 Retired Chief Constable at the time of his death was residing at 30, Lorne Street, Chester
