This photo is taken after performing laxmi puja, worship of goddess Laxmi who is known as the goddess of wealth in hindu religion.

English: This picture is taken after performing `Laxmi Puja´ in an individual home. In the middle of the picture there is a photo of goddess Laxmi kept to represent her and we worship that photo. Goddess Laxmi is known as the goddess of wealth in hindu religion. Laxmi Puja is the third day of `Tihar´, Tihar is the 2nd greatest festival celebrated in Nepal by the hindus. Tihar is celebrated for 5 days and Laxmi Puja is the 3rd day of Tihar. In this day at morning we worship `Cow´ as the incarnation of goddess Laxmi and at evening we worship goddess Laxmi like in the picture in our worship room. In Nepal this is done in each and every home, shops, offices e.t.c (where there is transaction of money) which is operated by the people following hindu religion.
