English: Handwritten on negative jacket: 1901. Old Gold Creek Series. White Sam Saddle Horse at halfway glacial rock slide on old road around Lake Keechelus. I was on way back from Mastue [?] Station on Northern Pacific Railway with the mail when I made this photo. Was about 2 miles from headquarters cabin at head of the lake.
