Description
Français : Construit en 1881, le lavoir municipal est situé dans la plaine au lieu dit Loquin. Il est compris dans les limites du site protégé du village et aux abords du château de Villevieille, classé monument historique.

L'édifice bénéficie à ce double titre des protections induites par les lois de protection du 2 mai 1930 relatives au paysage protégé et celle du 31 décembre 1913 relatives au paysage protégé et celle du 31 décembre 1913 relative aux monuments historiques et à leurs abords.

Le lavoir n'est plus utilisé par les bugadières (lavandières) depuis l'arrivée de la machine à laver dans les foyers, courant des années 60. Aujourd'hui, l'édifice est le centre d'intérêt d'un espace vert agréablement aménagé avec une boîte à livres, pour les amateurs de lecture.

But d'une courte promenade à pied depuis le village ancien, un sentier y conduit, à partir du CD 40, appelé chemin des Bugadières.

Le lavoir a été restauré en 1999.
