English: Latin small letter a-i with long leg as tested in The Phonetic Journal, 21 August 1852, p. 267 (HathiTrust) and also used in J. Tibbins, Dictionary of the English and French languages, Firmin Didot Brothers, Sons and Co., 1856 (Google Books) which was reviewed in The Phonetic Journal, 12 June 1858, p. 1↋2-1↋4 (HathiTrust).
