Title |
Late medieval vessel rim sherd |
||
Description |
English: A late medieval/early post-medieval rim sherd from a large jar or pitcher, of a light red in colour with a grey interior. It has internal lid seating and an external applied thumb strip just below the rim. There is a green/brown glaze present in some areas, which probably would have covered the entire outside and inside of the rim and neck originally. It is considered to be of 15th- to 17th-century date. |
