Title |
Late medieval to early postmedieval annular buckle frame |
||
Description |
English: A late medieval to early post medieval copper-alloy annular buckle frame with integral central bar.The buckle dates from AD c.1450-1550. In plan, the frame is in the shape of five petals, possibly intended as a schematic tudor rose. Parts of the central bar and frame show traces of iron corrosion- suggesting that the pin, although now missing, was made of iron. |
