Title
Late medieval annular double-looped buckle frame
Description
English: A cast copper-alloy double-looped medieval annular buckle frame with two oblique projections on the same outer edge. The buckle is incomplete insofar as the pin is missing. The lower surface is flat and undecorated while the upper surface features moulded decoration; the frame is semi-circular in cross-section. The decoration on the projections and in their vicinity on the outer edge is cabled. The buckle is slightly bent upwards at the projections. The metal is a now a mid/dark green colour. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (1996, 46; ref. 268) which is dated to the 15th-century.
