Title
Late medieval / post copper alloy medieval purse frame
Description
English: Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval copper alloy purse frame, 56mm in length, 49mm wide and 11mm thick with a weight of 25.96grams. The frame consists of a triangular loop with a sub-rectangular collared base from which emerges a circular cross sectioned short shaft. This attaches to the frame by running through its central rectangular projection. To each side of the projection is a further rectangular shaped, circular cross sectioned shaft and emerging from this is a further narrower, circular cross sectioned shaft. These object is possibly incomplete as may have had an extension to the shafts which are of different lengths. Therefore, it may be a Ward Perkins Type A1 or B1
