Title
Late early-medieval finger-ring
Description
English: A small copper-alloy penannular finger-ring of late early-medieval date. The object comprises a circular-section hoop which tapers to a fine wire at each end. The ends overlap for about 8mm to form an oval ring, 21 x 18.5mm externally and with a thickness of 4mm. It weighs 2.2g.

This type of finger-ring is well known from excavated parallels at the Viking-age town of Thetford (Rogerson and Dallas (1984) fig.110, nos.17, 20 and 21). Good examples on the PAS database include SF-13670F, which quotes further parallels.
