Late Saxon copper alloy buckle
Description
English: A late Saxon copper-alloy buckle. The frame is D-shaped in plan and oval in cross-section. The bar is narrowed and the pin is missing. At either side of the frame is an abstract animal-head biting down onto the bar. The frame has a reddish coloured patina.
