Description
English: Two late Neolithic to early Bronze Age chunks of burnt flint possibly used as a prehistoric pot boilers dating to 3300 - 1600 BC.

No.1: A large, irregularly shaped chunk, it shows broad flake removal scars so is a possible re-utilised multi-platform core or re-rejuvenation flake. The flint is opaque with a low-gloss patina, the surface is covered with craze-cracking with a whitish-grey appearance which is consistent with a heating and rapid cooling cycle. There are also reddish-brown ferrous stains, mainly to flake scar ridges.
